Musashi suffers a humiliating defeat against Inshun, the second-generation master of Hôzôin Temple. To prepare for a rematch, Musashi undertakes an intense spiritual and physical training regimen with a most unlikely teacher–Inshun’s predecessor, the founder of the Hôzôin Spear Technique.
